5th grade wasn’t a bad grade. It was actually really fun! In Mac’s class we are doing a timeline thing in the 1900s. We went through some hard and good times. Mrs. Lobue is doing so many activities. Mr. O is doing chess. Mrs Brantly is doing activities. Mrs. Mcfall is doings history. That is the end of the year in 5th grade.
Me and my class mates were voting each other’s presentations and my group’s results were in the middle. I thought the results would be a little better but I am proud of what I did.
The Yankees were playing against Chattanooga town. There was a girl pitcher on the Chattanooga and her name was Jackie Michell. Babe Ruth was up and Jackie struck him out. Next up was Lou Gehrig and she struck him out. Then Tony Lazzeri was next and she struck him out too. Nobody could forget about Jackie Michell Struck out Babe Ruth,Lou Gehrig, and Tony Lazzeri.
Today we learned about taxes back in old times. The king made us pay for our traits on our body. I started with 10 dollars and the king asked questions and if it is true you pay him whatever he says. It could of been handled it more fair if the king didn’t make us pay us for our traits.I was very poor at the end. I did not have any money left and I felt poor. I learned that back then I know what they felt like paying taxes.
Have you ever been to South Dakota . On spring break i went to South Dakota to see Mt. Rushmore. First we packed our bags with all we need. It took us 2 days to get to South Dakota. Then we went through 8 states to get there and back. Texas,Oklahoma,Kansas,and Nebraska on the way there.Next we went to an 8 story hotel to unpacked on the 5th floor. Then we went to Mt. Rushmore 12:00. I saw the presidents faces. I saw people climbing Mt. Rushmore. Then I took out my camera and took a picture. Then we went to a museum. I saw some dinosaur fossils and bones. Next my family went to the gift shop. My dad gave us 20$ each kid to spend. I wanted a bobble head , but it was 25$. I got a hat with a picture of Mt.Rushmore. Then we went on a board walk by the hotel. We ate sushi. Next we went back to the hotel and went to the indoor swimming pool. Sadly it was time to go home. On the way back we drove through Wyoming,Colorado,a corner of New Mexico, and across Texas. I had a fun time at South Dakota. My new years revolution is to pass 5th grade.
My life in 5th grade is very easy in some classes,but hard in some other classes. I like 5th grade so much. It is the best grade that I have ever been in. I Have some trouble in Science,but my Science teacher makes it more easier.In Social Studies my teacher makes it easier by giving me more websites to look at. Reading is in the middle because my teacher makes up hand motions to help me remember what I learned. Math is easy to me in my opinion. This year we learn states and capitals with memorizing the physical features of the map. I love 5th grade!
