Water Conservation

Our water is disappearing. If we don’t do something quick, our cows won’t give us milk, our chickens won’t give us eggs, and our pigs will die. So I will stand up to save our water. There are a lot of ways to save water. One of the ways I can save  water is taking shorter showers. A ten minute shower will take up about twenty-five gallons of water. Another way to save water is to turn off the water while brushing your teeth. If you leave the water on while brushing your teeth, you will waste about five gallons of water. The third way to save water is to get a soapy bucket and get a rag and scrub your car. We must practice water conservation at home, school and everywhere else.

Math Problem Of The Day

Davey and Charlie shared half a box of crackers.  They each had 20 crackers.  How many crackers did the box have when it was full?

I got 80 crackers because they said they shared a half of the package and they each had 20 crackers.  I added 20 and 20 because they each had 20, and there was 2 kids.  Then I did 40 and 20 and got 60 because that is a part of the package.   Then I added 60 and 20 and it was 80 because that is the last of the package.
